Well all valves on all engines are sucured by guides and or springs and wedges. They cannot fall into the combustion cylinder. If that was the case it would happen to all engines when a belt was replaced. Some one is pulling your leg. Just replace the belt. Some one wants you to sell the car to them for cheap.

I have a 92 Ford Taurus that starts up right away. But when I drive it for a short while or sometimes longer it shut down on me and it takes about 10 minutes to start up again than it runs fine and does not shut off on me. Any suggestions?
